Paris Saint-Germain secured their spot in the Round of 16 of the Champions League following their 2-2 home draw against fellow Ligue 1 side AS Monaco at the Parc des Princes, narrowly winning 5-4 on aggregate. The European Champions did not impress in this Play-off tie but will be able to defend their title in the knockout stage of the competition.
The Champions league draw took place this morning in Zurich, and Paris had the chance to face Chelsea or Barcelona in the next round of the competition — two sides they have faced many times in recent years.
Fate ultimately paired PSG with Liam Rosenior's Chelsea, the side that defeated Paris in the Club World Cup final last summer.

Who stands between PSG and the Champions League final?
The Round of 16 between the Blues and Paris Saint-Germain will see the first-leg take place on March 10th or 11th at the Parc des Princes, with the second-leg taking place a week later at Stamford Bridge.
In his pre-game press conference, Luis Enrique said: "It will be fascinating to face one of the best teams we know well. No feeling of revenge, these are completely different competitions. It is our path, we are used to this."
The European Champions and Luis Enrique will have a tough road to Budapest where the Champions League final is set to take place. In the eventuality they get passed the Club World Cup winners in the Round of 16, they will have to face the winner of the tie opposing Galatasaray to Premier League side Liverpool in the Quarter-finals. This could be a perfect opportunity for a rematch of the epic Round of 16 tie of last year's edition between the Reds and Les Rouges et Bleus.
Having defeated Liverpool or Galatasaray, the European Champions would then have to face either Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, Kylian Mbappé's Real Madrid, Harry Kane's Bayern Munich or Serie A side Atalanta in the semi-finals. They have faced two of these teams already in the League Phase at home, easily defeating La Dea 4-0 but fell 2-1 at the hands of Vincent Kompany's team.

"If we talk about the Champions League, I am worried for the other teams, not us. We are the title holders, so the other teams should have a feeling of revenge. I am sure no teams is happy to face PSG", said Luis Enrique after the Champions League draw.
Paris' side of the table is undoubtedly the most difficult, the European Champions will need to fight some of Europe's biggest clubs to keep their European crown. However, the first contender on their path to potential back-to-back Champions League glory will be Chelsea.
