Paris Saint-Germain is hosting fellow Ligue 1 side AS Monaco at the Parc des Princes in the second-leg of their Champions League Play-off tie. Luis Enrique and his side hold a one-goal advantage following their 3-2 away victory in the first-leg. The European Champions came from two goals down to secure this important victory thanks to a dazzling performance from Désiré Doué who scored two goals.

However, the Parisians lost Ousmane Dembélé who missed the 3-0 home victory against rock-bottom side Metz and will have to do without him, Senny Mayulu and Fabian Fabian Ruiz for this clash.

For this game, Luis Enrique decided to align his strongest starting lineup with the players available to him for this game. With Dembélé out the game, Désiré Doué will lead the front line as a false nine alongside Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Bradley Barcola.

Paris Saint-Germain's starting XI: Safonov; Marquinhos, Pacho, Nuno Mendes, Hakimi; Warren Zaire-Emery, Vitinha, Joao Neves; Kvaratskhelia, Désiré Doué, Barcola.

AS Monaco's starting XI: Kohn; Kehrer, Faes, Zakaria, Caio Henrique, Vanderson; Camara, Bamba, Coulibaly, Akliouche; Balogun.

Paris Saint-Germain through to the Round of 16

The game started with a lot of intensity from both sides with Paris holding most of the ball in the first 10 minutes. However, the first big chance of the game came from Monaco after a remarkable play from Akliouche who squared the ball perfectly to Coulibaly who miskicked his strike high and wide from close range (11').

The visitors looked confortable when going forward, which they managed to do quite often in the first 25 minutes. They are happy playing fastbreaks from their backline using quick one-touch football.

The last 10 minutes of the first half were dominated by the hosts who worked the ball around their opponents box. It eventually teed up for Bradley Barcola who managed to get a shot away in a tight angle but his effort came off the crossbar as Kohn appeared beaten (40').

Nonetheless, Akliouche who is the best Monaco player up to this point opened the score and gave a well-deserved lead to the visitors on the night as they make it all square on aggregate (45'). The visitors have had the better chances of the half and now have a goal to show for it with Paris expected to respond in the second half.

Paris started the second half with a different approach and appeared more dominant offensively. They would once again see their opponents go down to 10-men as Coulibaly received two quick yellow cards. Shortly after, Marquinhos equalised from close range and gave Paris the lead once again on aggregate(60').

Kvaratskhelia made it 2-1 on the night and seemingly ended all hope for Monaco at the same time as he followed up on Hakimi's long range effort that was initially parried by Kohn (66'). In the dying embers of the clash, substitute Teze tied the game on the night (89').

Up next, Paris will travel to Le Havre on Matchday 24 of Ligue 1 McDonald's on Saturday.
