Marcus Rashford is having a season to forget at Man United. Not only has his form not been great but, he recently fell out of favour with new Manchester United manager Ruben Amorin who has not been playing him in Man United's recent games. In a press conference the former Sporting CP coach explained his absence was due to application in training and setting low standards.

Rashford has since stated he has a desire to leave his boyhood club as he feels he is ready for a new challenge following omission from the squad to face Manchester City in the Manchester derby. The 27-year-old has then been linked to a move to Juventus who rejected the opportunity to sign the England international. Here at PSG Post we discuss why signing Rashford would be a risk for the French champions.

His form has not been great this season

Marcus Rashford has not played anywhere near the best of his ability this season. Thus far he has scored four goals in 15 games with Manchester United which is underwhelming for a player of his ability. Last season wasn't much better, the 27-year-old notched only seven goals in 33 Premier games. This could be a serious issue for the French champions when they have to play against better teams in the Champions League and have to be clincial with their chances, something Luis Enrique's men already struggled with in this 2024-25 campaign.

They already have a underperforming striker

Les Parisiens already have a forward that has underwhelmed this season in the shape of Randal Kolo Muani. The French international fell out of favour with Luis Enrique and scored only two goals in 10 league games, a surprisingly low tally for a player that PSG bought for £64.2 million pounds last year. If they don't get rid of Kolo Muani in the January transfer window, it would be difficult to sign Rashford, as they wwould have two attackers who underperformed this season.

There are better options

PSG could aim to sign players who performed better than Marcus Rashford this season, with Jhon Duran from Aston Villa as a perfect example. Duran has scored seven Premier League goals thus far in 18 appearances, which is remarkable considering that most of his game time has come off the bench. Duran is an ideal profile as he is comparable in play style to Kylian Mbappé, who departed the club for Real Madrid last summer.
