Two things stood out in PSG's total domination over Marseille

PSG decisively defeated Olympique de Marseille 3-0 in the latest edition of Le Classique held at the Stade Velodrome. Here are two things we learned.
PSG recorded the most impressive result of their season against Marseille on Sunday night after coming away from Stade de Velodrome with a 0-3 victory.
Luis Enrique's side needed that victory after a rather underwhelming week in Europe. The win was also vital as Marseille wasn't too far behind them in the league table and are having one of the best starts to a season in a long time.
Here at PSG Post we discuss two things which drew our attention in Le Classique.
Two things stood out in PSG's total domination over Marseille
1. Bradley Barcola has taken his game to another level
Les Parisens had many standout performers at Stade de Velodrome one of which was Barcola. The 22-year-old is having an amazing season thus far so his impact on Sunday night should not come as a surprise to anyone.
The French international scored PSG's second goal after Ousmane Dembele pulled a cross back for him to convert. Geronimo Rulli saved Dembele's original shot before finding Barcola from the rebound. Barcola should have added another goal in the second half but couldn't direct his shot on goal when Achraf Hakimi found him with a cross. Moments later he almost registered an assist after picking out Dembele who fired his effort over the bar.
2. This PSG team creates chances
Luis Enrique's side had numerous opportunities to score on Sunday night against Marseille. Hakimi's free-kick which went over the bar, Marquinhos's shot which flew wide, and Desire Doue's opportunity when through one-on-one with the Rulli are just a few of the chances they had spurned. In the end, they scored three but it could have been more. Once Randal Kolo Muani or Goncalo Ramos comes back into the team they will go up another level.
Which PSG players stood out in Le Classique?
Achraf Hakimi played a pivotal role, creating a strong scoring opportunity. Although not his best night overall, his contributions were essential to the team’s attack. Nuno Mendes, focusing on offensive duties after a sending-off, set up the opening goal with a well-placed cross and posed a continuous threat down the left wing in the first half.
Joao Neves dominated the midfield, winning nearly all his duels and scoring his first goal for PSG. His dynamic play in the attacking third has strengthened his case as the team’s new midfield leader.
Meanwhile, Ousmane Dembele adapted well to a deeper playmaking role, assisting the third goal. However, a missed close-range chance underscored lingering issues with his finishing, highlighting an area for improvement in his otherwise effective offensive contributions.
