PSG vs Olympique de Marseille: Predicted lineup for Le Classique

Who will make it into the starting lineup as PSG prepare to take on their biggest rivals Olympique de Marseille in Le Classique at the Parc des Princes?

Paris Saint-Germain will host their biggest rivals Marseille in Le Classique at the Parc des Princes on Matchday 21 of Ligue 1 McDonald's.

It will be the third clash between the two sides this season with each having won one apiece. The upcoming game will therefore be the decider. The more recent battle between the two teams saw Luis Enrique's team claim a dramatic penalty shootout win in the Trophée des Champions.

For this game, Luis Enrique will have to do without several players including Fabian Ruiz, Quentin Ndjantou and Achraf Hakimi who is suspended following his red card in PSG's 2-1 victory over Strasbourg last week.

Here is Les Parisiens' predicted starting XI against Marseille.

PSG Predicted Lineup vs. Marseille (4-3-3)

GK: Matvey Safonov - The Russia international is set to start his third consecutive game after coming back from injury. He delivered another outstanding performance against Strasbourg and saved a important penalty.

RB: Achraf Hakimi - The France international player should slot back into a hybrid full-back role with Achraf Hakimi set to miss the clash through suspension following his red card against RC Strasbourg last week.

CB: Marquinhos - While Zabarnyi could be given the nod by his coach, club captain Marquinhos should be the one partnering Pacho against Marseille.

CB: Willian Pacho - The Ecuadorian will be starting next to Marquinhos in the heart of PSG's backline against Marseille.

LB: Nuno Mendes - The Portuguese is an important piece of Luis Enrique's system and will be expected to deliver another top-level game as he is set to face Mason Greenwood who is Ligue 1's top scorer.

CDM: Vitinha - The Portuguese has featured in almost every PSG games this season, showcasing his vital importance in the team while avoiding injuries up to this point in the season.

CM: Senny Mayulu - The PSG Academy graduate should be the one stepping up in midfield alongside the Portuguese duo of Vitinha and Joao Neves while Spain international Fabian Ruiz recover from an injury. Nonetheless, Doué could be the one starting in midfield.

CM: Joao Neves - The Portuguese will have an important role in the upcoming clash against Les Phocéens. With Fabian Ruiz set to miss the game through injury, him and Vitinha will have to deliver outstanding performances.

RW: Désiré Doué - The 2025 Golden is set to start against Marseille on Sunday. However, Luis Enrique could decide to replace him in midfield alongside Vitinha and Joao Neves while AFCON winner Ibrahim Mbaye starts on the right wing.

LW: Bradley Barcola The France international is currently the top scorer of his team in Ligue 1 and his upcoming battle with former PSG player Timothy Weah will likely be crucial to determined the winner of this game.

ST: Ousmane Dembélé - The 2025 Ballon d'Or will lead the frontline for PSG in this crucial game against their great rivals, hoping to end Marseille's title hopes.
