According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, AS Monaco star and France international Maghnes Akliouche is heading to Paris Saint-Germain this summer. The player who is currently representing France at the 2026 World Cup is set to leave his formative club this summer and PSG, the back-to-back Champions League winners are leading the race to sign him.

While there is plenty of interest for the player, with two unnamed Premier League club reportedly interested, the 24-year-old who has already spoken to Luis Enrique gives his priority to a move to Les Rouges et Bleus. Romano added that Monaco are expecting bids soon for their player as talks are intensifying between the two clubs.

This move is reportedly directly linked to Kang-In Lee's move to Atlético Madrid as Akliouche is set to replace the South Korean numerically in the squad.

As for Diomande's future, according to several sources, the Ivory Coast winger who is currently in the middle of a race between PSG and Liverpool gives his priority to a move to the French capital. The 19-year-old is reportedly awaiting PSG to make a concrete move for him. However, the European Champions will likely need to align on the €120 million price tag to sign him this summer a sum that Liverpool are ready to pay for his service.

Akliouche and Diomande on their way to Paris Saint-Germain?

These two players are very talented, there are absolutely no doubt to that, however, would signing them this summer for this amount of money really wise? Maghnes Akliouche whose primary position is right winger could also play as a number 10, his playmaking abilities are incredible and he could be a real asset for PSG. However, he will never be a starter in this team unless many injuries were to strike the team. Furthermore, his versatility his far behind Kang-In Lee's who could play at every position in midfield and in the front line without dropping his level.

While he was set to leave last summer, Monaco asking price was too much for many teams who decided to step away, would signing a player who will mainly start on the bench be the best decision when many Academy players could potentially make the jump? Only the future will say.

As for Diomande, those who did not know him before the World Cup, have now been able to witness his talent throughout the first three games of the competition. Nonetheless, the 19-year-old who will likely sign ahead of Bradley Barcola's departure is certainly not worth over €120 million at the moment. While the transfer market seems completely out of control, Paris have the finances for such a move but would it be wise for a player that will be behind Kvaratskhelia in the hierarchy?
