Paris Saint-Germain are set to launch a move for RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande, the Ivory Coast teenage sensation is currently representing his country in the 2026 World Cup. According to German outlet Bild, the club is set to battle Premier League giants Liverpool who recently saw their €100 million bid rejected.

The 19-year-old is one of the most coveted player in this transfer window after a dazzling 2025-2026 campaign with RB Leipzig as he tallied 13 goals and 10 assists in 36 games across all competition. In the current World Cup, he has already delivered two eye-catching performances with Ivory Coast, earning Man of the Match honours in the narrow 1-0 victory over Ecuador.

Leipzig who have already rejected a €100 million offer from Liverpool values their former Leganés player at over €120 million. His high potential and his long contract set to expire in 2030 put the German outfit in a great position to demand a massive fee this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly been in discussion with the representative of the player for several weeks and will shortly make their first offer in the coming days. Both teams are therefore set to start a bidding war for the Ivory Coast international with Leipzig ready to cash in a massive check on their teenage sensation this summer.

Should PSG look to outbid Liverpool in the Yan Diomande race?

While the club prepare for this upcoming bidding war against Liverpool, the main question PSG fans may ask themselves is wether or not the club should invest so much money on Diomande when they seem to already have all the players at their disposal at this position.

However, Bradley Barcola has been heavily linked to a summer move with both Arsenal and Liverpool showing a massive interest for the Frenchman. This transfer will open more space in the squad for the possible arrival of Diomande in the French capital.

Furthermore, the player has been showcasing all season that he could be a very valuable addition to the team and his performances with Ivory coast at the World Cup are another proof of his talent.

The player who has been on PSG's radar for a while can play on both wings and could be the perfect second option behind Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as the club will be looking to continue their domination in Europe and win a third consecutive Champions League next season.
