With 16 PSG players in action at the 2026 World Cup, there is plenty of news for their fans and followers throughout the competition. Additionally, many players are not only representing their respective countries, but also their future such as Yan Diomande, the RB Leipzig player in the middle of a bidding war between Paris and Liverpool, Gonçalo Ramos who sees Ruben Amorim and AC Milan showing him interest and the latest, Kang-In Lee.

The Korea Republic forward/midfielder will most likely leave the French capital this summer as his minutes on the pitch are set to diminish drastically next season. Thankfully, the 25-year-old who made 39 appearances for Luis Enrique's team last season and contributed for five goals and four assists remains highly valued on the market and is set to leave the club very soon with Diego Simeone's Atlético Madrid ready to make a move.

In the last few hours, many reports suggested that Lee reached an agreement with Los Colchoneros who are now set to open talks with the Parisian side. The player is valued at around €30 million and an agreement should be easy to reach between the two teams.

Kang-In Lee: From one capital to another

Paris Saint-Germain will therefore see one of their best utility players leave the club this summer. The Korea Republic star who has already played two games at the World Cup for his country is able to play at several positions such as defensive midfielder, central midfielder, attacking midfielder, false nine and winger. His versatility is a massive asset for his club and is likely one of the reasons he is so valuable on the transfer market. There is almost no players in the current PSG squad able to play at a high level in so many positions with the exception of Senny Mayulu who can also play full-back.

While he remained a fringe player for most of his tenure at the club seeing him leave could be huge blow for PSG. With the upcoming combined departures of Ramos, Barcola, and Lee, the club will need to recruit players able to support the main squad from the bench while delivering top level performances. This could be very difficult to find on the market as a number nine like Ramos struggled to shine at the club but is also a profile missing in the team at this point. It will therefore be very interesting to see how the club deal with this transfer window.
