Ahead of the second part of the season, and with no games in sight, it is time to have a look at which players we think should have a chance to shine in what is the most important part of the year for the club.
1. Désiré Doué
Désiré Doué ended the first half of the season in perfect form. The former Stade Rennais player, however, struggled at the start of the year with PSG to earn minutes, as Doué also took some time to get acclimated to his new environment. Nonetheless, he completely turned a new leaf with a string of good games, earning a starting spot in Luis Enrique's XI. The France U21 will certainly become an important piece of the Spaniard's system during the second half of the season with his ability to play in tight space coupled with his capacity to easily eliminate his opponents in 1-vs-1 situations.
2. Gonçalo Ramos
Gonçalo Ramos made his comeback recently after sustaining an ankle injury in the first official game of the season. Since his return, he enjoyed little playing time but made an impact on the team scoring four goals in eight games. He will certainly look to carry this good run of form to the second part of the season with important games coming up for Paris. The Portugal international will hope to keep improving his time spent on the pitch, even though, Les Parisiens are rumoured to look for another number nine with Randal Kolo Muani set to depart the club during the January transfer window. The player who joined from Benfica last year, will have a perfect opportunity to keep showing his worth at the club.
3. Bradley Barcola
Bradley Barcola's start this season was nothing short of amazing. Even though the France international had a little drop of form, he remains one of the most valuable players at Luis Enrique's disposal. The 22-year-old winger scored 10 goals in 16 Ligue 1 games so far, but failed to scored in Champions League across six outings. It is now important for Barcola to finally prove himself in the European competition and reach new heights. We will keep a close watch on Bradley Barcola's performances in the Champions League as it is primordial for Les Parisiens to qualify for the next round of the competition. For all these reasons, the upcoming game against Manchester City is vital for him and the club.
