PSG exit is looming as Bradley Barcola makes huge decision on his future

Before the start of the 2026 World Cup, many teams were monitoring Bradley Barcola's situation at PSG due to his limited playing time under Luis Enrique. Some of Europe's biggest teams were lining up to win the race if he were to open the door for a departure this summer.

According to several sources, including the reliable Fabrizio Romano, the France international winger has decided against a contract extension with PSG, the back-to-back Champions League winners, as his current contract is set to expire in 2028.

Therefore, the 23-year-old who dazzled at the 2026 World Cup with France, contributing for three goals and one assist could leave the club this summer if PSG were to collect a big transfer fee, with both Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool linked for a move, with the Reds being reportedly favoured by the player. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich and Chelsea are also interested by him but not ready to pay the hefty price tag set by PSG.

Bradley Barcola is nonetheless certain to leave the club this summer as the move for RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande could be hijacked by Real Madrid and therefore change all of PSG's plan this summer.

Since Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's arrival at the club in 2025, Bradley Barcola's minutes at the club dropped significantly, alongside his status within the squad as he became a second option behind his France national team teammate Désiré Doué and the Georgian.

If he wants his career to progress, he would need to leave the club as it now seem almost impossible to see him change this situation despite his incredible talent. Furthermore, the numerous rumours linking RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande to a move to PSG made it even clearer that his future was likely far away from the French capital.

Despite his role at the club, he still managed 13 goals and seven assists in 49 appearances with PSG last season. While his numbers dropped, he proved that he was still an important players of the squad, which earned him a spot with France at the 2026 World Cup.

Now, it will be interesting to see if the club will decide to sell him this summer as they look to make a massive profit or if they would wait next summer as their move for Yan Diomande could fall through. It will be very difficult to replace such a player for Luis Enrique and his team, even though they proved that they were able to take make very decisions on the market.
