At the end of the season, it was no secret that PSG would be open to let Bradley Barcola go this summer, amidst the numerous rumours linking the back-to-back Champions League winners to RB Leipzig Yan Diomande.

This situation obviously increased the interests of several Premier League giants such as 2026 Champions League finalists Arsenal and Liverpool with the Reds already interested in signing the Frenchman last summer. His decreasing playing time, his current status in the squad combined with his reported desire to play in the Premier League could make it easy for these teams to poach him.

However, the dynamics have shifted recently as Bradley Barcola became a starter in Didier Deschamps' France team in the World, scoring two goals already in the tournament against Senegal and Sweden recently. According to The Athletic's David Ornstein, PSG is not considering a sale for the 23-year-old. Now, the European Champions have put a hefty €130 million price tag on the France international to deter any potential suitors.

The club is in superb shape financially at the moment following the sale of Gonçalo Ramos to AC Milan and the upcoming departures of Kang-In Lee and Randal Kolo Muani to Atlético Madrid and Juventus respectively.

Bradley Barcola may be pushing for a move away from the French capital

The Parisian player who is currently shining with France at the World Cup is still a second option under Luis Enrique at PSG behind Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré on the wings. Despite his performances with the club, this situation his unlikely to change in the near future. Though he won his battle against Doué for a starting role with France, he proved at this World Cup that he can and certainly should be more than a second string.

Therefore, his reported will to leave could be justified by wanting increased responsibilties with a top level Premier League team playing the Champions League such as Liverpool and Arsenal as both teams look to bolster their options on the wings.

Which team could be the best fit for him?

If he were to leave, the best option for his playstyle would undoubtedly be Liverpool. With the arrival of former Bournemouth coach Iraola on the bench, the Reds should still play an attractive brand of football. Even though they are many uncertainties for the future with the team, they should be the best match for the next step of his career.
