PSG coach Luis Enrique is a topic of discussion this international break. The former Spanish coach's contract is set to expire at the end of the season and he warrants a contract extension.

If they don't sign him up for a contract extension and he decides to leave then they will struggle to find a suitable replacement unless Zidane chooses to join.

Zidane is unlikely to opt for PSG due to his connections to Marseille and what it would mean for the French Football Federation to obtain to services of another legend. At PSG Post, we discuss why the club needs to extend his contract.

There will be uncertainty if he doesn't sign

Enrique not extending his current deal would pose a huge dilemma for the club as the players whose contracts are about to expire may not sign on if they don't know who is going to be the coach next season.

They may also refuse to extend their contract if they liked playing under Luis Enrique. For instance, Fabian may consider leaving the club as he would have enjoyed being coached by his compatriot. This would be a complete convenience given how good he showed he could be at the Euros last summer.

He has done well considering the circumstances

Enrique has had to deal with a lot during his time at the French champions. Just as recently as last season, he has had to deal with the Kylian Mbappe saga.

The Spaniard also had to come to terms with the fact that Lionel Messi and Neymar did not want to prolong their stay at the club. Even though the club did not sign an adequate replacement for the French captain this summer window he did not put up a fuss.
