Paris Saint-Germain have been announced as the French representative and one of the four clubs to take part in this year's edition of the AMOS women's French cup in a few weeks time.

The AMOS Cup is a pre-season tournament that hosts a selection of four of the biggest clubs in Europe. The mini-competition gets started on August 28th and concludes a few days later on the 31st.

PSG have gone underway with their Summer friendlies, so far playing one match which ended in a 3-1 loss against fellow D1Arkema side, Le Havre. Next, they play PSV.

What is the schedule for the AMOS cup and will PSG play?

Semi-finals - 28th, August.

SF1 - Atletico Madrid vs Ac Milan

SF2 - PSG vs Liverpool

Third-placed play off - 31st, August

Final - 31st, August

A smaller and quick-paced event but still one that holds a great deal of importance for both clubs and their supporters.

PSG weren't good enough to win the title last year, after finishing in fourth place due to a loss on penalties to Barcelona.

PSG have been paired up with English side Liverpool, who proved last season how they can produce surprises when needed, like getting wins against Chelsea and Manchester City.

It will be a tough game for the Parisienne side, but one they are more than capable of winning.

But, with many of their players absent due to being invovled with the World Cup, it's fair to say PSG won't be relaying on a complete squad going into the AMOS Cup.

Thus far, only new recruits Ana Vitoria and Viola Calligaris have returned to Paris and resumed training. Vitoria made her debut against Le Havre and provided an assist for Sandy Baltimore, while Calligaris is yet to play her first game in the Rouge et Bleu jersey.
