Paris Saint-Germain Feminine have begun their pre-season friendly schedule, and they started off with a meeting against Le Havre, which ended in a 3-1 defeat for the Parisian side.

Who played?

Formation : 4-3-3

GK - Katarzyna Kiedrzynek

Defenders - Payne, Le Guilly, Romitt, Elimbi Gilbert

Midfielders - Ana Vitoria, Albert, Folquet

Forwards - Baltimore, Sangare, M.Traore

Sandy Baltimore opened up the scoring after a pass from newcomer Ana Vitoria, which gave the side a 1-0 lead. Not long after, the opposition was quick to make things level.

Just before the first 45 minutes were coming to an end, Le Havre made it 2-1 in their favor, leaving PSG a goal behind.

The second half wasn't any better for Paris as Le Havre made a big advantage after scoring their third goal of the afternoon. The game ended in a 3-1 loss for PSG, a disappointing first-pre-season game for the club.

While it was a displeasing result, it still isn't one that should raise much concern for this season. With a total of 11 players absent due to their participation in the FIFA Women's World Cup, the team that loss the game only contained a few players that would be regulars this season. A large majority of those names wouldn't be considered in the main XI.

This line-up was made up of many younger players who were accompanied by main starter Sandy Baltimore, who was captain for the day, and new recruits Ana Vitoria and Nicole Payne.

Overall, until the regular called-upon players return to the squad, supporters and specters can't really form an opinion on how this new Paris Saint-Germain team forms for the upcoming season after its big shake-up in personnel.

PSG's next friendly is against PSV, on Friday, 18th August.
