Marco Verratti still doesn't know what the future will hold for him. Although he has been at the starting gate for several weeks, the Italian is still a PSG player a few days after the transfer market closes in most European countries.

The 30-year-old midfielder generates specific interests emanating from Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The Al-Arabi side, which recently signed Rafinha and Abdou Diallo, former Parisian footballers, are already preparing to attract the number 6 from Paris.

The Doha-based team has no intention of wasting any time. According to Fabrizio Romano, PSG will shortly receive the first official offer for their veteran player. The quoted journalist adds that "negotiations will soon enter crucial stages", since Al-Arabi is also speeding up to start negotiating with Marco Verratti.

Marco Verratti's agreement with Al-Ahli seems to have fallen through

The midfielder had already reached an agreement with Al-Ahli from Saudi Arabia before his entourage presented the club with a counter-proposal. Since then, negotiations with the Saudi club have been stalled.

In fact, Romano reports that Gabri Veiga, also an object of interest for PSG this summer, will become a new Al-Ahli footballer shortly. This could be interpreted as the Arab team choosing to go for the Spanish, after Verratti's counterproposal.

Several European clubs are also attentive to the situation of the veteran PSG player. Atletico Madrid and Galatasaray recently requested information from the Parisian club on this issue, but neither seems really capable of meeting the demands of the team from the French capital.
