PSG will have to deal with several major absences for the reception of Rennes on Sunday for MD28 of Ligue 1.
Besides Presnel Kimpembe and Neymar, PSG defenders Achraf Hakimi and Nordi Mukiele will miss Sunday's game and have already been ruled out of it after rumors about their health popped up earlier this week.
Large question marks are also floating above the heads of the trio of defenders Marquinhos and Sergio Ramos, as well as midfielder/forward Carlos Soler while Lionel Messi seems to have recovered from his personal woes and is available to start come Sunday.
The PSG hospital can get fuller just hours before hosting Rennes at the Parc des Princes for MD28 of Ligue 1. Christophe Galtier will not be able to count on a full group of players, but rather a depleted one in which, once more, alternatives and rotation options just won't be there for him to choose from at all.
On Friday morning, the PSG coach could only train with 15 outfield players. None of Kimpembe, Neymar, Hakimi, and Mukiele were with the group and are off tomorrow's gameday squad.
Morocco international Hakimi "continued with his recovery (thigh) individually," while French youngster Mukiele "received treatment" after suffering "an upper hamstring injury".
Sergio Ramos, Marquinhos, and Carlos Soler might still be able to play
While not entirely ruled out for Sunday's matchup, Sergio Ramos and Marquinhos could also miss this game as confirmed by Galtier in his pre-game press conference.
Galtier did not rule out the possibility of having the veteran defenders available, hoping to recover them in time, although he acknowledged "a decision will be made after the last training session on Saturday and before kick-off on Sunday."
On the offensive department, Carlos Soler could also miss the appointment. The Spaniard trained indoors with "muscle discomfort" on Friday, thus missing the second collective training session in a row this week after doing so on Thursday.
This news leaves Soler at a serious risk of missing Sunday's matchup against Rennes. On the positive side, Messi returned to training on Friday having missed collective sessions earlier this week.
