PSG forwards Lionel Messi and Carlos Soler did not take part in the last collective training held at Camp des Loges on Thursday.

According to RMC, the Argentina international is not suffering from any physical problem, which means he should be available to take on Rennes on Sunday when PSG will host the visitors at Parc des Princes.

It was later revealed by L'Equipe that Messi was in the middle of a mysterious trip to Doha, with no further details known yet. We'll keep an eye on this, though, considering the recent rumors surrounding a potential new contract being offered to Messi and possibly being negotiated by the player and PSG in Doha on Thursday.

On top of Messi's absence was Carlos Soler's, although the latter was never explained to the media present at Camp des Loges and we're still waiting to know more today when Galtier speaks in his pre-game press conference, scheduled for Friday afternoon.

Christophe Galtier might have Messi available, but he is definitely not going to be able to count on the defensive trio of Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, and Nordi Mukiele, with the former (very) doubtful to appear on the pitch come Sunday and the latter two already ruled out of the next Ligue 1 game.

Sergio Ramos had some issues on Thursday's session, too, which could prevent him from starting or even playing at all next Sunday. The Spaniard cut his training session short and it is still unknown how serious his injury is.

There is a chance PSG go with a precautionary approach on this one, considering right now only Danilo and El Chadaille Bitshiabu are available while capable of playing a center-back role in the middle of the defensive line. The problems keep piling and one has to wonder if this is jus bad luck... or a plain bad medical staff.
