Up to this point, Paris Saint-Germain are having a remarkable transfer window as they negotiated the lucrative departures of several second option players such as Kang-In Lee and Gonçalo Ramos. While there was numerous rumours sending RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande to the French capital to bolster their offensive options this summer.

However, out of nowhere, the European Champions have reportedly secured the arrival of Spain international who is currently representing his country at the World Cup. According to several sources, the 27-year-old has already agreed terms with the club and both teams are expected to reach an agreement shortly as Barcelona are ready to facilitate a move. He has one year left on his current contract with the Blaugrana and proved important when it was time to replace the aging Robert Lewandowski.

The player who scored 16 goals in 33 La Liga games last season is wanted by Luis Enrique who has known him for a long time and has a great relationship with him. Barcelona have put a €45 millions price tag on Torres, a low price that PSG's board could easily pay following their previous summer sales.

Ferran Torres set to replace Gonçalo Ramos in PSG's forward rotation

This move for Ferran Torres is certainly very smart from Luis Enrique as the Spanish forward is extremely versatile, he can play and perform at a high level at every position of PSG's offensive trident. He will be the perfect second option to replace Ousmane Dembélé up front while remaining also efficient on the wings. In the eventuality of Bradley Barcola's departure this summer amid the interests of Liverpool and Arsenal, the team might not lose too much firepower.

Furthermore, the former Manchester City player sticks perfectly to the playstyle wanted by Luis Enrique, much more than the departed Gonçalo Ramos who has always struggled to properly fit into Paris' system. In the end it resulted in him mostly playing a super-sub role throughout his three years at the club.

On the other hand, Ferran Torres seems like a perfect match, while his role will primarily be to come off the bench, he has the talent to potentially become one of the key elements of this squad.

Last season had a really difficult start for PSG as several key first team players suffered injuries which impacted their results early in the campaign, having a player such as Torres will definitely improved their options.
