Auxerre vs PSG: Predicted lineup for Ligue 1 game

After a very disappointing mid-week 2-1 Champions League defeat to Sporting Lisbon, Paris Saint-Germain will have to face relegation-threatened AJ Auxerre at the Abbé Deschamps Stadium on Matchday 19 of Ligue 1, looking to bounce back. In the reverse fixture, PSG secured a comfortable 2-0 home victory thanks to goals from Illia Zabarnyi and Lucas Beraldo.

This upcoming game, Luis Enrique and his side will have a golden opportunity to take back the top spot of Ligue 1 with the leaders RC Lens taking on third-place Marseille. Nonetheless, facing Auxerre will not be an easy task, with the Spaniard coach set to have seven players side-lined for the game, including Quentin Ndjantou, Lee Kang-In, Joao Neves and Matvey Safonov who are recovering from injuries, while Fabian Ruiz is rested due to a knock sustained against Sporting Lisbon.

Meanwhile, Nuno Mendes and Achraf Hakimi who returned after the AFCON final will be rested for the game and should return for the Champions League clash against Newcastle next Wednesday.

RB: Warren Zaire-Emery - Achraf Hakimi made his return after the AFCON final, but Warren Zaire-Emery will be the one starting at the right-back position against Auxerre while the Moroccan is rested.

CB: Illia Zabarnyi - The Ukraine international should be the one starting next against Auxerre. He scored his first goal against this side in the reverse fixture and after his poor performance against Lisbon he will hope not to repeat it.

CB: Willian Pacho - The Ecuador international should start against Auxerre. However, Lucas Beraldo could be the one pairing with Zabarnyi while Pacho is rested ahead of the Champions League clash against Newcastle.

LB: Lucas Hernandez - With Nuno Mendes set to be rested, the French international is set to start against Auxerre.

CDM: Vitinha - The Portuguese could use a break, yet with all the injuries hitting the squad, he will face Auxerre.
