After their Le Classique loss against Marseille, PSG will hope to bounce back as they are set to clash with Auxerre at the Parc des Princes on Matchday 6 of Ligue 1 McDonald's. Luis Enrique and his team will be without several key players for this game as they also prepare to face Barcelona on October 1st in the Champions League.

For this game, the Spaniard coach rotated his side, giving a starting berth to Ibrahim Mbaye. In midfield, Lee Kang-In and Senny Mayulu will partner Vitinha. Meanwhile, Warren Zaire-Emery and Lucas Hernandez will occupy the full-back positions, while Zabarnyi partners Lucas Beraldo in the heart of Paris' backline.

Paris Saint-Germain's starting XI: Chevalier; Beraldo, Zabarnyi, Zaire-Emery, Hernandez; Vitinha, Lee Kang-In, Mayulu; Ramos, Kvaratskhelia, Mbaye.

Auxerre's starting XI: Leon; Sierralta, Akpa, Siwe, Senaya, Mensah; Casimir, Owusu, Danois, Namaso; Sinayoko.

PSG bounced back to defeat Auxerre at home

Paris Saint-Germain bounced back perfectly against Auxerre at home as they climbed back up to the top spot of the league. Goals from centre-back duo Illia Zabarnyi and Lucas Beraldo were the difference in this game.

After 25 minutes, Les Parisiens were overwhelmingly dominant on the ball (84% ball possesion), but failed to create any significant chances in that period while the visitors sat deep looking to exploit any fast break opportunity.

Inside 32 minutes, Paris broke the deadlock through Illia Zabarnyi as he scored his first goal with the club. The Ukraine international was perfectly set up by Vitinha's pinpoint cross in the back post, leaving Donovan Leon powerless.

However, the European Champions were hit with another worrying sight as Vitinha was subbed off shortly after the goal, replaced by Achraf Hakimi. With the clash against Barcelona around the corner, Luis Enrique might have to do without another of his key players.

Lucas Beraldo doubled Paris' lead 10 minutes inside the second half following a perfectly accurate cross from Mayulu (55'). The French champions looked very comfortable in this game as they seem to cruise to victory. Nonetheless, the visitors remained dangerous as Kevin Danois' long range strike hit Chevalier's right post.

In the last 15 minutes of the game, Luis Enrique involved some Academy players who created some chances to improve their advantage but were denied by Leon. Ultimately, Paris comfortably saw out the game.

Up next, Les Parisiens will travel to Spain to face FC Barcelona in their second Champions League league phase game. After a dominant victory over Atalanta, Luis Enrique and his team will look to secure another important win.
