PSG's quality shone through against a Monaco side who were unbeaten at home in the league this season. The French champions firepower was too much for Adi Hutter's side as they ran out 2-4 winners in Stade Louis II. The result was much needed for Luis Enrique's side as they have struggled to lay a glove on the top sides they have faced this season. It will also dent Monaco's confidence as they are fresh off a 3-0 drubbing from Arsenal.

Here at PSG Post we discuss three things that caught our attention at Stade Louis II.

Desire Doue is staking his claim for a place in the starting eleven

Doue is getting acclimatised to the club after not having the best of starts to the season. He opened PSG's account on the night when he finished his chance in the penalty box from Achraf Hakimi's cutback. Aside from his goal he had a brilliant range of passing and utilised space to his advantage. If he keeps performing like this then Luis Enrique wll have a selection headache going into the second half of the season.

Ousmane Dembele can be unplayable

To say Dembele was a problem for the Monaco defence would be an understatement. The Frenchman put in the rebound from Fabian Ruiz's shot to make it 2-2, laid the ball back for Lee Kang-In to curl pass the Monaco goalkeeper and put the game beyond Monaco's reach when he dinked the ball over Phillipp Kohn in added time. He even showed a different side to his game each time he tracked back to help defend. It is remarkable to think that he performed so well in spite of falling out with the manager, Luis Enrique earlier this season.

Hakimi is becoming more important

Achraf Hakimi was one of PSG's stand out players on the day. In just under 5 minutes he had hit the post from a cross prior to setting up Doue inside the penalty box. The Moroccan right back could of scored himself when he was denied by Kohn. He is showing at every game why he became such an important piece of Luis Enrique's system and more importantly why he's certainly the best right back in the world today. His ability to bring danger from the right flank is well known, however, it is defensively that the former Real Madrid player really progressed this season.
