PSG are interested in signing Tottenham centre back Radu Dragusin. According to reports in Spain PSG are willing to offer £42 million for the 22 year old. He is deemed as a main priority despite Spurs being reluctant to sell due to the injury crisis they have at the back. If Tottenham end up losing the Romanian international then they will be in huge trouble this season as their main centre backs have already suffered knocks. The only way any deal seems logical is if Milan Skriniar is included in a swap deal. Here at PSG Post we discuss why the French champions should not go ahead with a deal for Dragusin.

They have more then adequate centre backs

If Milan Skriniar stays then they will already have Lucas Beraldo , Marquinhos, Lucas Hernandez, Presnel Kimpembe and Willian Pacho at their disposal. Milan Skriniar has been linked to several clubs this January transfer window but none of them have come close to finalising a deal for the 29-year-old. If they can't get rid of any centre backs before the transfer window closes then it will be difficult to find space for another centre back. If Dragusin does join it would be difficult for him to start ahead of the likes of Lucas Hernandez , Marquinhos and Beraldo.

Number nine should be prioritised

Juventus are closing in on a loan deal for Randal Kolo Muani. If that deal gets done then the club should look at finding a number nine this window unless they are going to utilise Khvicha as a false nine. A striker is more of an urgent issue then centre back as missed chances have haunted them on several occasions in the Champions League. If Luis Enrique keeps opting for a false nine then he could have the same problems when they play the tough teams in the Champions League.

He is not well suited to Luis Enrique's possession based style of play

Dragusin is not the best ball playing centre back. This is not ideal for Enrique as he likes he defenders to play out from the back. The best example of this being exposed is Tottenham's 3-6 defeat at home to Liverpool. In the aftermath of the game Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch said that the Liverpool attackers targeted Dragusin due to his perceived weakness in possession. If the French champions sign him then they could have the same issue that Spurs have had this season.
