"Gonçalo hasn't had many opportunities to play, and even without being a starter in most matches over the past two years, he comes on and always achieves excellent results. When he's called upon, he scores goals, he never gets discouraged, he always fights, he works like no one else, and he is an example for everyone."
Despite a situation that he sometimes difficult for him at the club, with limited opportunities to showcase his talent, Ramos has always managed to remain completely focus, showcasing resilience when he was not playing. Moreover, he has managed to be decisive despite it all and has gain the trust and respect of his teammates with a strong mentality.
This season he has seen Senny Mayulu and Quentin Ndjantou, two "Titis" from the PSG Academy start ahead of him in the Champions League while Ousmane Dembélé was side-lined due to numerous muscular injuries. Nonetheless, he has always put the team's success first and has delivered at numerous occasions when he was called upon.
Vitinha continued his tribute to his teammates stating how important it was for young players to take example on Ramos if they wanted to succeed as professional footballers.
" All young footballers who dream of becoming professionals should take Gonçalo as an example. The best quality they can develop and master is their mentality, their resilience, that willingness to always give their all, and in the end, no one can say anything against them.
" The statistic speak for themselves: he is one of the players in the world with the best goals-to-games ratio. Every time he plays or come on, he scores, even when things aren't going well. All of this is the result of hard work."
His incredible work rate and ethics have won him the respect of his teammates, while time have been harder for him. Hopefully, he will be able to deliver plenty more big moments with PSG this season as they look to achieve even more success.
