With just three games left in the competition, it is the perfect time to look back and see which PSG players had the best tournament as they were asked to lead their respective countries on the biggest stage of World football.
Top 5 best PSG players at the 2026 World Cup
1- Ousmane Dembélé
The 2025 Ballon d'Or delivered several top level performances for France as they made their way to a third consecutive World Cup semi-final. The Frenchman scored five goals and delivered two assists in seven games.
His most memorable games was definitely against Norway, a game where he completely dominated Erling Haaland's team with a formidable hattrick. Following France's disappointing 2-0 loss to Spain in the semi-final, their road to a third consecutive World Cup final came to an end, but they have one more game left for the third place of the competition.
2- Fabian Ruiz
Ruiz started the tournament as a backup behind the very talented duo of Pedri and 2024 Ballon d'Or Rodri in Spain's double pivot midfield. However, the Spaniard managed to found his way into the starting lineup, overtaking Pedri in the hierarchy since the quarter-final against Belgium.
Since then, he delivered top level performances and played a huge role for his country as they reached the 2026 World Cup final, their first since 2010. On Sunday, he will have a chance to win his first World Cup.
3- Bradley Barcola
For his first World Cup, Bradley Barcola was expected to start on the bench and be Désiré Doué's backup throughout the tournament, but his performances earned him a spot in the starting lineup. He scored two goals and delivered one assist as he shared the left wing with his PSG teammate in their semi-final run.
He is rumoured to be on his way out of the club this summer, with both Liverpool and Arsenal being interested and following his great performances at the World Cup, he could well earn a move to improve his status elsewhere.
4- Désiré Doué
He was expected to be the number one option for Didier Deschamps and France for his first World Cup, but a disappointing first game against Senegal saw him relegated on the bench behind Barcola. However, he delivered great performances coming off the bench and was decisive in their narrow victory over Paraguay.
5- Achraf Hakimi
The Moroccan captain had a good tournament as his side reached the quarterfinal of the competition falling at the hands of his friend Kylian Mbappé's France. They failed to reach the semi-final once again but Hakimi had a good run overall.
