Randal Kolo Muani has been a hot topic of discussion amongst several European clubs this January transfer window. The likes of Man United, Spurs and Arsenal were linked to the French international prior to Juventus closing in on a deal or the 26-year-old. It is rather remarkable that he is looking for a way out of the club as he joined the club for €90 million in the 23/24 summer transfer window. Here at PSG Post we discuss why a loan move this window would be perfect for both club and player.
He can reignite his career elsewhere
Randal Kolo Muani has not had the best of starts to the season. In 10 league appearances he has only scored two goals. This is an extremely underwhelming tally for a player that went for such a exorbitant fee. Luckily for the French champions the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Bradley Barcola have elevated their game this season. A clincial number nine has cost PSG on several occasions in the Champions League particularly when they have have come up against tough opposition. If he goes on loan to Juventus he can regain his confidence and from there the club can make an informed decision on whether to bring him back or not.
They are close to signing another attacker
The French champions are close to wrapping up a deal for Georgia international Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. According to Fabrizio Romano the fee will be around €72 million and a five year contract will be on the table for the winger. The French champions are close to finalising the deal for the player who they couldn't obtain in the summer transfer window. When Khvicha comes into the fold they may end up getting rid of any attacker who is surplus to requirements. The only issue is who will drop to the bench as Barcola and Dembele are having great seasons thus far and they play in Khvicha's position.
Opens the door for another striker
Randal Kolo Muani's loan deal to Juventus means they will be able to speed up a deal for a striker in the January transfer window. They have already showed interest in Marcus Rashford and Jhon Duran this window so it's just about finding the right profile for the number nine position. They have to be aggressive in there pursuit of a striker as several clubs in Europe are in the lookout for one.
