PSG vs Slovan Bratislava: Predicted starting lineup for Champions League opener

The Parisians will face Slovan Bratislava in the opener of the Champions League at the Parc des Princes. Luis Enrique and his team will look to bounce back from their last 2-1 home defeat in Ligue 1 against AS Monaco.

Nuno Mendes who was suspended for the last three league games following his red card received against RC Lens in the Trophée des Champions should make his return to the team and start the game.

Here is Les Parisiens' predicted starting XI against Slovan Bratislava.

PSG Predicted Lineup vs. Slovan Bratislava (4-3-3)

GK: Matvey Safonov - The Russian, just like the rest of his teammates, is not having a good start this season as their defence is being way too easily picked apart.

RB: Achraf Hakimi - The Moroccan is set to start once again as Paris prepare to face Yaya Touré's Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League opener.

CB: Marquinhos - The Brazilian scored his second goal this season, though, it was not enough to avoid a disappointing home defeat against Monaco last weekend.

CB: Willian Pacho - The Ecuadorian who has just recently extended his contract with the club is not living his best period at the club at the moment. Let's hope he and his teammates can pick up the three points against a lesser opponent.

LB: Nuno Mendes - The Portugal international left-back should finally make his return to the team after missing the last three games of his team through suspension. He will be itching to deliver a top performance against Slovan Bratislava.

CDM: Vitinha - The Portuguese maestro will be crucial for his team once again in this new Champions League campaign that is set to start at home. He will need to be at his level to help his side start the competition on the right foot and avoid a humiliation.

CM: Fabian Ruiz - The Spaniard should be the one starting in midfield alongside Vitinha and Joao Neves while Warren Zaire-Emery start on the bench. He has come back from the World Cup in somewhat good form despite lacking rest.

CM: Joao Neves - The Portuguese should be included in Luis Enrique's starting lineup against Yaya Touré's team. The Parisians will look to start the competition on a high note against the easiest team on their path.

RW: Désiré Doué - The Frenchman could be replaced by either Maghnes Akliouche or Ferran Torres but he should still get the nod from his coach for this game.

LW: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia - The Georgian should start this game, even though it could be a great opportunity to see Mika Godts make his first start with the club.

ST: Ferran Torres - The Spaniard should be the one starting this game while Ousmane Dembélé starts on the bench.
