PSG is preparing for one of its toughest league games of the season thus far when it hosts Rennes on the weekend. Les Parisiens need to get back to winning ways after losing 1-0 to Monaco at Stade Louis II last weekend. Takumi Minamino scored the winner midway through the second half with a left-footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner.

The win was rather remarkable for the hosts, considering they were down to 10-men. The defeat meant that Lens are now a point ahead of second-placed PSG following their 1-2 victory at Angers last weekend. It remains to be seen whether they can sustain their performances in the second half of the season, as they may end up feeling the pressure of a title race.

Luis Enrique shouldn't take his next opponents, in fifth-placed Rennes, lightly, as teams in the league are becoming less fearful of the European champions. This has been shown countless times in games against Marseille, Lille, and Monaco. Les Parisiens are seen as everyone's cup final as they have been the team to beat in France since the Qatari takeover in 2011. If they keep dropping points, Lens may have a cushion at the top of the league table.
