After a disappointing 1-0 loss on the road to AS Monaco that cost them the top spot of the league, Paris Saint-Germain are preparing to face fifth-placed Rennes at the Parc des Princes on Matchday 15 of Ligue 1 McDonald's hoping to bounce back. To go back on winning ways, Luis Enrique has implemented a brand new training method which sparked debate online ahead of the game.

For this game, Achraf Hakimi, Désiré Doué, Nuno Mendes are unavailable, even though Doué made his return to team training this week, he should not be able to make the squad for this clash. Meanwhile, Safonov will likely make his first appearance this season while Lucas Chevalier is rested following an injury sustained against Monaco. Additionally, Lucas Beraldo is unlikely to play this game after picking up a small calf issue.

Here is Les Parisiens' predicted starting XI against Stade Rennais.

PSG Predicted Lineup vs. Rennes (4-3-3)

GK: Matvey Safonov - The Russia international should make his first appearance this season as Lucas Chevalier is side-lined following his injury sustained against Monaco last week.

RB: Warren Zaire-Emery - The PSG Academy graduate should continue at the right-back position as long as Hakimi is unavailable, a situation that should extend until the Moroccan return from the AFCON.

CB: Marquinhos - Marquinhos should be the one partnering Pacho against in-form Rennes over the weekend.

CB: Willian Pacho - Willian Pacho has been the most reliable defensive player of this squad this season and is set to form his usual partnership with Marquinhos with PSG looking to bounce back after their loss to Monaco.

LB: Lucas Hernandez - The Frenchman is set to start against Rennes as Nuno Mendes is still recovering from his muscular injury, giving Hernandez more opportunities to earn minutes on the pitch.

CDM: Vitinha The Portuguese international is simply the best midfielder in the world at the moment, and he will be crucial against Habib Beye's side as the European Champions look to claim back the top spot of the league.

CM: Fabian Ruiz - Fabian Ruiz should accompany Neves and Vitinha in midfield against Rennes with Paris looking to claim an important win.

CM: Joao Neves - He will be a key player for Luis Enrique in this game and his side will hope that he could continue his goalscoring form against Rennes.

RW: Bradley Barcola - The French international should be the one starting against Rennes tomorrow. However, in-form Kang-In Lee could be an option to start this game.

LW: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia - The Georgia international did not have a great season up to this point, which was mostly due to injuries.

ST: Ousmane Dembélé - The 2025 Ballon d'Or should make his return to the starting lineup against his former side, hoping to lead his team back to victory.
