PSG vs FC Barcelona: Predicted starting lineup for Champions League heavyweight clash

Who will make it into the starting lineup as PSG prepare to host FC Barcelona and Lamine Yamal at the Parc des Princes in the Champions League?

PSG are set to face Hansi Flick's FC Barcelona in the Champions League in their third League Phase game. Both sides have secured two wins in their opening games, with Paris taking down Manchester City 4-2 in a thrilling contest.

However, this game against Lamine Yamal and his teammates will be a completely different affair as they will face what is certainly Europe's deadliest offensive line. Furthermore, the Parisians will have to do so without Nuno Mendes who sustained a muscular injury in their latest 3-1 league win over Strasbourg.

Here is Les Parisiens' predicted starting XI against FC Barcelona.

PSG Predicted Lineup vs. FC Barcelona (4-3-3)

GK: Matvey Safonov - The Russian is in great form at the moment after a difficult start. He seems ready for this upcoming clash of titans.

RB: Achraf Hakimi - The Moroccan will start this game against the Blaugrana and will have a tough opponent in Gordon to face.

CB: Marquinhos - The Brazilian will start and partner Pacho against Barcelona in what appears to be their biggest challenge of the season so far.

CB: Willian Pacho - The Ecuador international will start and partner PSG captain Marquinhos in the heart of Paris' defence as they prepare to face one of Europe's finest offensive line at the moment.

LB: Lucas Digne - The Frenchman who made his return to the French capital this summer will start in Nuno Mendes' absence against his former side FC Barcelona and will have the difficult task to defend Lamine Yamal.

CDM: Vitinha - The Portuguese maestro will face one of the best sides in Europe and the midfield battle will likely be crucial in this game to determine the winner of this clash. He will will have another opportunity to show that he is the best in his position.

CM: Fabian Ruiz - The Spaniard will likely start this game against Barcelona alongside Vitinha and either Joao Neves or Warren Zaire-Emery.

CM: Joao Neves - The Portuguese should be the one to be picked by Luis Enrique over Warren Zaire-Emery for this clash, even though the French international delivered good performances recently.

RW: Désiré Doué  - The 2025 Golden Boy should be the one starting against Hansi Flick's Barcelona. He has delivered a great performance against City last week, and scored goals in his last two games.

LW: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia - The Georgian should be the one starting against the Blaugrana despite Maghnes Akliouche's excellent form at the moment as he is a constant threat on the wings for his opponents.

ST: Ousmane Dembélé - The 2025 Ballon d'Or appears to be in great form despite his lower playing time. He still manage to contribute with goals and assists for his team almost at every game.
