The French champions are preparing for the biggest game of the season, thus far, when they host Bayern Munich in the first-leg of a Champions League semi-final encounter. This will be Les Parisiens' most difficult game since the last time these two teams met in the League Phase. On that occasion, the Bavarians ran out 2-1 winners at the Parc des Princes. Luis Diaz scored a first-half brace for the German giants before Joao Neves pulled one back with 15 minutes left of the match. Vincent Kompany's side were the better side that day until Luis Diaz got sent off on the stroke of halftime.

Bayern Munich will come into this encounter confident after wrapping up the league last weekend and booking their place in the DFB Pokal final for the first time in six years. They beat Leverkusen 2-0 at the BayArena to secure their place in the final in Berlin. Les Parisiens won 3-0 on the weekend against Angers. It was a much-needed win, as Lens drew 3-3 the day before against Brest.

Here is our preview for PSG vs Bayern Munich for the first-leg of a Champions League semi-final tie.

PSG team news:

The French champions have a relatively strong squad ahead of the clash on midweek, as Vitinha (heel) is the only potential injury absentee. However, the Portuguese should be able to hold his position in the first-leg.

Paris Saint-Germain possible starting lineup:

Safonov; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Ruiz, Zaire-Emery, Neves; Doué, Dembélé, Kvaratskhelia.

Bayern Munich team news:

The Bavarians have a depleted squad as numerous players are on the treatment table. Serge Gnabry (thigh), Tom Bischof (muscle), Raphael Guerreiro (muscle), and Lennart Karl (torn muscle) are out of action for Tuesday's game. This is detrimental as some of them could play a crucial role in the first leg on Tuesday.

Bayern Munich possible starting lineup:

Neuer; Stanisic, Upamecano, Tah, Laimer; Pavlovic, Kimmich; Olise, Musiala, Diaz; Kane.

Prediction: PSG 2-2 Bayern Munich

It is difficult to look past a draw in the first leg, as the French champions will be eager to learn from the defeat in the league phase game earlier this season. A win in the first leg would be asking a lot of Kompany's depleted side.
