PSG and AS Monaco reach agreement over €50 million move for Maghnes Akliouche

According to several sources, including Fabrizio Romano, PSG have reached an agreement with fellow Ligue 1 side AS Monaco for the transfer of France international Maghnes Akliouche. The back-to-back Champions League winners will reportedly pay €50 million for the 24-year-old, bonus included.

Liverpool also showed interest for the winger but he ultimately favoured a move in the French capital next season. Now, the Parisians are working on the final details the deal to complete Akliouche's shortly. These negotiations have been quite difficult as Paris saw many of their bids rejected, however, they are now in the final stages to secure his arrival. The club saw many offensive players leave this summer, such as Kang-In Lee and Gonçalo Ramos while Randal Kolo Muani is on his way to Italy and Juventus Turin, therefore, Akliouche's arrival will be beneficial to the club.

The player who represented France at the 2026 World Cup made his professional debut at Monaco in 2022 and quickly became a key player of the squad, making 139 appearances for the club, contributing for 23 goals and 28 assists.

Will Maghnes Akliouche be the "missing piece" for PSG next season?

Last season, the 24-year-old France international made 43 appearances for AS Monaco, contributing for seven goals and 11 assists. He proved that he was a really good player as he also earned a spot with France at the World Cup. He is able to be a really good playmaker from the right wing and also as a number 10. While Luis Enrique doesn't use a traditional number 10, he could be used as an hybrid in midfield if needed.

Furthermore, the potential departure of Bradley Barcola to Liverpool this summer could deal a lesser blow to PSG with Akliouche's upcoming move. Nonetheless, the club will need to make some other moves to bolster their offensive options and many sources report an interest for Atalanta Bergamo's Charles De Ketelaere for the summer following Ramos' departure to Milan.

Both palyer would perfectly fit Luis Enrique's style of play and become important squad player behind Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué just like Ferran Torres would.

Overall, Akliouche will likely never be a first-choice player of this team without important injuries to the starters of this team but coming off the bench and in crucial Ligue 1 or Coupe de France games, he will be very important to help them continue their domestic dominance.
