After their disappointing 2-1 home loss to Lyon over the weekend, Paris Saint-Germain is facing relegation-threatened FC Nantes at the Parc des Princes. The Parisians are now just one point ahead of RC Lens in the Ligue 1 table, having played one game less. Therefore, a win tonight is vital in the title race.

Despite the importance of this game, Luis Enrique made six changes to the team that lost to Lyon. The Portuguese maestro Vitinha suffered an injury against the Gones and is out of the group, while Lucas Hernandez, Barcola, Ramos, Pacho and Mayulu all make way for Warren Zaire-Emery, Marquinhos, Dro Fernandez, Dembélé and Kvaratskhelia.

Zaire-Emery or Joao Neves will likely start this game at left-back. Meanwhile, Fabian Ruiz who returned from injury against Lyon starts on the bench. Additionally, Nuno Mendes and Quentin Ndjantou are out injured and should make their return to action shortly.

Paris Saint-Germain's starting XI: Safonov; Zabarnyi, Marquinhos, Warren Zaire-Emery, Hakimi; Beraldo, Joao Neves, Dro Fernandez; Kvaratskhelia, Dembélé, Doué.

FC Nantes' starting XI: Lopes; Cozza, Ali Youssif, Guilbert, Machado; Leroux, Sissoko, Lepenant, Acapandié, Abline; Mohamed.

Paris dominate Nantes at the Parc des Princes

After a VAR review, a penalty was awarded to PSG following a handball in the box. Kvaratskhelia stepped up and made no mistake from the spot to convert the penalty and put the hosts in the lead after 13 minutes. A fantastic run from Dembélé almost led to PSG's second goal of the evening shortly after, but his effort was saved by Lopes.

Out of nowhere, Louis Leroux thought he equalised for Nantes after a set piece, however, the goal was disallowed after a lengthy VAR check as Paris remained in the lead. The hosts were in complete control in the first half and were logically rewarded with a second goal through Désiré Doué. The France international scored a remarkable goal from a tight angle and left no chance to Lopes (37').

Just after the break, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia made it 3-0 for PSG and score a wonderful goal to seemingly seal the win to his team with his second goal of the night.

The Parisians came close to add a fourth goal with several chances in the last half hour but failed to do so. Nevertheless, they were able to comfortably see out the game and secure another victory that put them four points ahead of Lens in the standings.

Up next, Paris will face Angers SCO on Saturday, April 25th at the Stade Raymond Kopa on Matchday 31 of Ligue 1 McDonald's.
