Young star heads to Belgium as transfer window closes
The summer transfer window 2024 has closed, but PSG is still experiencing changes. Following Danilo Pereira’s departure, it’s now Colin Dagba’s turn to move on after the transfer market shut.
While the summer transfer window has closed for most European leagues, Belgian clubs can continue to make transfers until September 6. In this context, according to Le Parisien, Paris Saint-Germain has reached an agreement with KV Beerschot, a Belgian top-flight team.
Sitting at the bottom of the Jupiler League with five losses and one draw in six matches, KV Beerschot is set to sign Colin Dagba as a free agent. The right-back is expected to undergo his medical examination and sign a two-year contract on Wednesday, September 4. To facilitate the deal, Colin Dagba has agreed to terminate his contract with PSG, which was set to run until June 2025.

Arriving at PSG from US Boulogne in 2016 as part of the U19 squad, Colin Dagba never managed to make a significant impact with the senior team. The player, who will turn 26 on September 9, has made 77 appearances in all competitions, scoring 1 goal and providing 6 assists since his promotion to the first team in the 2018/2019 season.
Le Parisien also notes the presence of two players still in the loft: Vimoj Muntu wa Mungu and Louis Mouquet. These two Parisian youth players might benefit from the remaining open transfer windows: Belgium (until 09/06), Greece (until 09/14), and Portugal (until 09/16).
With the closure of the summer transfer window, PSG is not only focusing on the departures but also on refining their squad for the season ahead. The club's ongoing adjustments, including Dagba's move to KV Beerschot, reflect their strategic approach to managing player contracts and optimizing their roster.
