With the Women's World Cup now underway, Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi shares a supportive message for all the players of the club participating.

"I extend my best wishes and unwavering support to all the Paris Saint-Germain players who are embarking on the adventure of the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

You have worked so hard to reach this point and to represent France, Denmark, Brazil, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Nothing is stronger than your talent, strength, and determination.

I know you will leave your mark on the pitch and will make your supporters very proud!" Said president Al-Khelaifi in an excellently worded statement of encouragement.

The World Cup got started on Thursday, with both hosts Australia and New Zealand winning their games 1-0. While none of the PSG players will be taking on Australia in the group stage, Ramona Bachmann and Viola Calligaris will meet co-hosts New Zealand on matchday three.

An astonishing total of 12 players are involved in this installment of the WWC, and all are attempting to win their nation's first-ever world champions title.

After the Men's World Cup back in 2022, we saw a final starring two major names from PSG (at the time), Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi. It would be something special for the capital club if the women could also have a heavy impact near the end of the tournament and maybe even bring back a winner's medal.
