Who is playing for PSG vs. Toulouse on Saturday, Feb. 4?
PSG will play their second game in four days when they host Toulouse at the Parc des Princes on Saturday, Feb. 4. It's just the start of a mad rush throughout the whole month of February and leading up to the second-leg match against Bayern Munich next March.
For this weekend's clash, PSG won't be able to count on any of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Sergio Ramos. The three players have already been ruled out with different injuries.
Marco Verratti is suspended for Ligue 1's MD22 and won't be able to play either. Nordi Mukiele and Presnel Kimpembe, both still recovering from their injuries, will also be left out of the gameday squad.
Gigio Donnarumma will be the shot-stopper of PSG once more and for the remainder of the season without much drama to the position.
The defense will most probably feature Nuno Mendes in his second game back, now expected to play at a much higher level. Hakimi is a chalky starter on the right with Mukiele out injured.
Danilo is forced to slide down to the center of the defense (his best position; he's been the best center-back of PSG this season) with Ramos out, while captain Marquinhos will be next to him.
Due to injuries at other positions and the suspension of Verrati, it's slim picks in the middle of the pitch. Galtier will need to use Vitinha and youngster Warren Zaire-Emery whether he likes that or not. Fabian Ruiz was great a few days ago and should retain the same role/position, and the lack of an alternative on the right wing with Neymar out once more will force PSG to use Carlos Soler on the right.
Lionel Messi is expected to carry the team forward getting back to his old days of playing as a pure no. 10 magician. He will be paired with Hugo Ekitike atop the forward line as the lone striker in a pivot role.
