Neymar, Sergio Ramos, and Kimpembe ruled out Saturday
The medical staff of Paris Saint-Germain provided an update on the status of the squad ahead of Saturday's Ligue 1 game against Toulouse at the Parc des Princes. Neymar and Sergio Ramos won't be available in time for the match, while Presnel Kimpembe is also expected to remain out of the gameday squad.
PSG will host Toulouse on Saturday, Feb. 4, for the MD22 of the Ligue 1 season. The Parisian team won't feature any of Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, Sergio Ramos, or Presnel Kimpembe, the club announced on Friday afternoon.
Nordi Mukiele will miss Saturday's game as his long-term injury is still keeping him away from training in any capacity. He will be joined on the shelves by the trio of Neymar (muscle fatigue), Sergio Ramos (concussion), and Kimpembe (Achilles) tomorrow.
Neymar, Ramos, Mbappe, and Kimpembe will join Verratti on the shelves on Saturday
Neymar is nurturing some "adductor discomfort" while Sergio Ramos "will resume collective training at the beginning of next week." Both players are expected back on Wedsnesday, in time to face Olympique Marseille in the French Cup Round of 16 matchup scheduled for Feb. 8.
Kimpembe trained with the group earlier this week but this match arrived a little too soon for him considering his current form and poor conditioning after spending so much time off the pitch.
Kylian Mbappe, who has been ruled out for the first-leg game of the Champions League Round of 16 matchup against Bayern Munich, will obviously not play tomorrow either.
On the suspension front, Marco Verratti will also be unavailable for coach Christophe Galtier for the game against Toulouse, although he will be able to play against OM in the French Cup with the third game of his three-match suspension expected to be forfeited later this season.
Verratti already missed last Wednesday's matchup at Montpellier, and this second game forfeited in a row will enable him to get cleared for the cup Classique scheduled for next midweek..
