Forwards: Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe

No MNM this weekend nor going forward with Neymar suffering ligament damage in his right ankle and potentially missing up to three or four weeks while recovering.

That means it's going to be Kylian Mbappe (to the left) and Lionel Messi (drifting right) in the most advanced positions of the Paris Saint-Germain formation at the Stade Velodrome on Sunday evening.

This sounds great on paper but can be very problematic in practice considering the last results and form of the team, and how it's been deployed and performed on the pitch against all types (good and not so phenomenal) of rivals: Messi doesn't give a damn about defending/pressing and while Mbappe shows some effort it's not that he should be running wild on defensive transitions instead of focusing on attacking opposing defenders.

On top of that, PSG will be at the risk of suffering a wide disconnection between the most-advanced midfielder (Fabian Ruiz) and their two forwards with no true attacking midfielder on the ground. The wing-backs will be absolutely key against OM for PSG to get a positive result and do any damage to the defensive blocks of Marseille.

I don't like how things look on paper, and I don't envision anything better when the ball gets rolling. God bless Galtier's soul. He'll need all help from above he can get.
