Despite a successful season, with a victory in the Coupe de France, a semi-final in the UEFA Women's Champions League, and a D1 Arkema final, PSG is in reconstruction. Jocelyn Precheur, who joined mid-season, did not extend his contract as head coach and left as a free agent. To replace him, the capital club considered several names and ultimately decided on Fabrice Abriel.

PSG shake-up, star coach and player exodus

As the coach of Fleury, the former midfielder had an impressive season with the club, finishing fifth in D1 Arkema and reaching the Coupe de France final. For several days, he has been rumored to be the future coach of PSG. Now, it seems to be official.

L’Equipe reports that Fabrice Abriel signed his contract as the Rouge & Bleu coach on Saturday morning. He will be with PSG for the next two years, until June 2026. He will aim to surpass Jocelyn Precheur's achievements and will have to cope with the departures of Sandy Baltimore, Tabitha Chawinga, and Constance Picaud. However, he can count on PSG's two major signings, Mary Earps and Griedge Mbock, and potentially other recruits.

Abriel's arrival marks a new era for PSG, as the club aims to maintain its competitive edge both domestically and in Europe. The Parisian directors are confident that his experience and vision will help elevate the team to new heights. Fans are eagerly anticipating the new season, hopeful that Abriel can build on the solid foundation and bring more silverware to the capital.
