After a promising start, Manuel Ugarte quickly faced disappointment in his first season at PSG. Despite this, he is attracting interest and is reportedly on the radar of a major Spanish club.

The first signing of the 2023 summer transfer window, Manuel Ugarte joined PSG from Sporting CP for €60 million. Following a promising beginning, the 23-year-old Uruguayan international lost his starting position as the season progressed and was no longer featured in important matches.

Although he is under contract with the Rouge & Bleu until June 2028, he might leave the capital club this summer. Already targeted by AC Milan, the midfielder is now drawing interest from another major European club.

According to Cadena Cope, PSG's number 4 is highly admired by Atletico Madrid. Diego Simeone, who is searching for a defensive midfielder, appreciates Manuel Ugarte’s profile. Another target for the Colchoneros, Guido Rodriguez, seems to be heading to FC Barcelona.
