PSG set to offer contract extension to Real Madrid target

Paris Saint-Germain are currently enjoying a fine run of form, both in terms of results and overall performance, and neither Luis Enrique’s first season as manager nor the start of his second year in charge can be fully understood without the contribution of one player in particular: Vitinha.
The 24-year-old Portuguese international is currently one of the best players in PSG’s squad, if not the best. So much so that, as expected, Vitor Ferreira has already caught the attention of other top European clubs, who will waste no time in making a move for him when the opportunity arises.
In fact, according to a recent report by Madrid-based outlet Defensa Central (h/t The Real Champs), Real Madrid have their eye on Vitinha, with the aim of strengthening a squad that was left “incomplete” following Toni Kroos’ departure last summer. The report suggests that Madrid could offer €60 million for PSG’s number 17.

With this in mind, PSG are already preparing to secure their star midfielder. According to PSG Inside Actus (a reliable insider), the club are planning to extend Vitinha’s contract.
The source indicates that the Parisian management have already offered a two-year extension, taking the contract until June 2029, along with a salary increase and a signing bonus. It is reported that both PSG and the player, along with his representatives, are keen to continue their partnership, meaning significant progress could be made relatively quickly.
Last season, Vitinha scored nine goals and provided five assists between Ligue 1 and the Champions League. This season, the Portuguese midfielder has already netted one goal in three matches in the French league.
Although Real Madrid's midfield is gradually improving this season, they began the campaign clearly lacking a player like Vitinha, who excels at setting up attackers to cause problems for opponents. For this reason, the reported interest from Madrid is understandable. However, it's clear that the Portuguese midfielder's focus remains solely on Paris.
