PSG's Olympic stars return early to kickstart season

With the Olympics wrapping up this past Sunday, the two PSG players were expected to return later in the season, after enjoying a few days of vacation.

However, as reported by PSG on their X account, both the Parisian goalkeeper and fullback are already back in Poissy for the start of pre-season training. The club announced that the two players returned to the training center on Monday to undergo physical and medical tests. This is good news just days before the 2024-2025 Ligue 1 season starts.

It remains to be seen if Luis Enrique will deploy Achraf Hakimi this Friday against Le Havre. As captain, the Moroccan international was a key figure for the Atlas Lions during the Olympic competition. As for Arnau Tenas, he sees his future in Paris, despite rumors of a potential loan earlier in the transfer window.

According to L’Equipe, PSG's board has even rejected approaches from RC Lens and Spanish clubs. The Parisian coach has a full squad with these two players back in training.
