The Paris Olympics begin tomorrow, featuring 26 athletes from PSG. After Nasser al-Khelaifi, Presnel Kimpembe had the honor of carrying the Olympic flame.

Since it arrived at the port of Marseille on May 8, 2024, the Olympic flame has been traveling across mainland France. On Tuesday, July 23, it passed through the Yvelines department. Following Nasser al-Khelaifi, who carried the flame for 500 meters in Vigneux-sur-Seine on Monday, another PSG member, Presnel Kimpembe, had the privilege of carrying the flame on Tuesday afternoon.

Kimpembe ran 500 meters within the Chateau de Versailles before passing the torch in the legendary Hall of Mirrors to actress Salma Hayek, the wife of Stade Rennais owner Francois-Henri Pinault. Kimpembe is on his way back to full fitness.

He has been absent for over a year due to a ruptured Achilles tendon and complications after his surgery. The central defender worked hard in June while most of his teammates were on vacation to be ready for the start of the 2024-2025 season preparations. Mission accomplished. PSG legend Rai also had the honor of carrying the Olympic torch.
