In search of offensive players, PSG struggles to finalize several deals and might re-enter the race for signing Rayan Cherki.

PSG still has a month to finalize its numerous targets. While Joao Neves is set to become the second signing after Matvey Safonov, the Parisian management has been working for several weeks on acquiring offensive talents.

However, the club has had difficulty making progress in the cases of Jadon Sancho, Nico Williams, and Victor Osimhen. As a result, the French champions might revisit a former target.

PSG reconsiders Rayan Cherki transfer

Though he seemed destined for Borussia Dortmund, Rayan Cherki has yet to sign with the German club. Despite having a contractual agreement with PSG, the French international participating in the Olympics decided to join the German club.

However, the transfer has not been finalized. According to L’Equipe earlier this week, BvB has not completed its negotiations with OL, despite extensive discussions between Michael Gerlinger (Director of Football at Eagle) and Lars Ricken (BvB’s General Manager for Sports). This situation has frustrated OL.

PSG might re-enter the race for the 20-year-old offensive midfielder, as reported by the sports daily in its latest edition. Paris could revive the pursuit of Rayan Cherki (Lyon) in the coming days, who has yet to sign with Dortmund.

It is worth noting that an agreement already existed with Olympique Lyonnais for a €15M transfer. It remains to be seen if the player would reconsider his plans, having already secured a contractual agreement with PSG a month ago.
