There is probably no better midfielder in the world today than Rodri Hernandez. That's why his injury is a major boost for PSG and any team set to face Manchester City.

It’s devastating for Manchester City, but especially for Rodri, the midfielder for the Manchester club, as he has suffered a torn ACL.

We can expect him to miss the January clash against Paris Saint-Germain. This unfortunate news was reported by Marca, suggesting a potential end to the season for the brilliant Spanish midfielder.

No one likes this kind of news. Such an important player sidelined by a terrible injury is never something to celebrate. Even though PSG will face the English club without one of its main weapons, it’s a shame not to see him on the pitch, considering what he brings to football and its fans.

We wish him a swift recovery and all the strength he needs. It’s regrettable, but these things happen in football, just as we saw last year with Lucas Hernandez, who is still recovering from his third injury of this kind.

PSG will face Manchester City on Matchday 7 of the new UEFA Champions League league phase. Although there are nearly four months to go, it’s practically impossible for Rodri to be fit in time for the clash.

Luis Enrique's compatriot was crucial to City’s first and only Champions League triumph, to the point where many believed he deserved to win the Ballon d'Or that season.

The date for the clash between Paris Saint-Germain is set for 22nd January next year at the Parc des Princes. What’s your prediction? Find us on social media and let us know.
