The official team lineups for Arsenal vs PSG have just been revealed, and Luis Enrique has sprung a surprise: Desire Doue starts in attack.

Paris Saint-Germain return to European action this Tuesday, taking on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium for Matchday 2 of the UEFA Champions League's new league phase.

Fresh from a 3-1 win over Rennes at the Parc des Princes, PSG will face an Arsenal side that recently staged a thrilling 4-2 comeback against Leicester City in the Premier League. The French champions head into the clash with an incomplete squad, notably missing Ousmane Dembélé, who hasn't travelled with the team.

There’s some uncertainty over the starting XI, with the press split on who will feature. However, it's widely expected that PSG will line up in a 4-3-3, deploying a false nine up front.

Just over an hour before the kick-off, UEFA announced the official team lineups, with PSG springing a surprise in their starting XI as Desire Doue is named in attack, with Kolo Muani only on the bench.

It's still unclear whether Doue or Lee Kang-in will start on the right and who will play centrally. UEFA lists Lee in the centre and Doue on the flank, but they, along with Barcola, will form PSG’s attacking trio.

As for the rest of PSG’s lineup at Arsenal, Donnarumma is, of course, in goal, shielded by a defence of Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, and Nuno Mendes from right to left. In midfield, Zaire-Emery, Vitinha, and João Neves make up the starting trio, leaving Fabian Ruiz on the bench.

PSG official starting XI against Arsenal: Donnarumma – Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes – Zaire-Emery, Vitinha, Neves – Doue, Lee, Barcola.

For Arsenal, the lineup is much more predictable. Mikel Arteta can count on Calafiori at left-back, and the rest of the team holds no surprises. Trossard steps into his usual role in place of Odegaard, while Mikel Merino, who was initially ruled out, makes the bench and will start as a substitute.

Arsenal official starting XI against PSG: Raya – Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori – Partey, Rice – Saka, Trossard, Martinelli – Havertz.
