Nasser Al-Khelaifi, President of PSG, has been re-elected to the board of the LFP, which has also confirmed Vincent Labrune as its president. This decision was later endorsed by the LFP General Assembly.
On Tuesday, September 10, Vincent Labrune was re-elected for a new term as President of the Ligue de Football Professionnel. Despite facing criticism and competition from Cyril Linette, former head of Canal+ and L'Equipe, Labrune will continue leading the LFP for another four years, extending his tenure until 2028.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who has been a member of the LFP Board of Directors for several years, was also re-elected as a representative of Ligue 1 clubs. Alongside him, six other Ligue 1 club presidents were elected to the board: Jean-Pierre Caillot (Reims), Damien Comolli (Toulouse), Olivier Letang (Lille), Pablo Longoria (Marseille), Jean-Pierre Rivère (Nice), and Juan Sartori (Vice-President of Monaco).
The LFP Board of Directors is made up of 17 members, and these members overwhelmingly supported Vincent Labrune for the presidency.
Labrune received 14 votes, while Cyril Linette received only 2 votes, and there was 1 blank vote. The General Assembly of the LFP subsequently confirmed the board’s choice, electing Vincent Labrune with a substantial 85% approval rate.
This re-election marks a continuation of Labrune's leadership, despite challenges and a competitive election process. The strong endorsement by the LFP General Assembly highlights a consensus among the board members and the broader football community regarding Labrune’s role in shaping the future of French football.
