According to A Bola, PSG and Joao Neves have reached a contractual agreement. The deal would be for five years, extending until June 2029, with an annual salary of €5 million. This would represent a substantial pay increase for the 1.74m midfielder, who earned €500,000 with SL Benfica last season.
The 19-year-old now awaits a resolution between the two clubs to finalize the transfer. Many media outlets expect a positive outcome soon, as the player is scheduled to return to training this Friday. Meanwhile, PSG and SL Benfica are still negotiating the transfer, which could amount to €70 million including bonuses (€60 million plus €10 million in bonuses), though several details remain to be settled.
According to A Bola, "Joao Neves is waiting for Benfica and PSG to finalize the agreement before traveling to France. The midfielder was expected to arrive in Paris between today (Wednesday) and tomorrow, but if the green light is not given, he will need to report back to Benfica this Friday.”
