We are getting close to March, so you know something had to happen to Neymar. The Brazil international finally suffered his yearly (very bad) injury by rolling his ankle against LOSC Lille on Sunday afternoon's PSG 4-3 victory.

After suffering the injury, Neymar remained laying on the pitch until he was forced out of it on a stretcher, getting replaced by much-loathed Hugo Ekitike.

Neymar, in tears after suffering the injury, was tackled by Lille's Benjamin Andre and twisted his ankle in the middle of the Parc des Princes by the 50th minute and already into the second half.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward attempted a comeback but the hopes were quickly extinguished in his pursuit of a return as he realized that the feat would be impossible for him to achieve against Lille. We'll see if he can make it back to a football ground any time soon.

PSG, already missing defenders Nordi Mukiele, Marquinhos, and Achraf Hakimi on Sunday will now have to wait and see if any/all of those can return in time for the second-leg match against Bayern scheduled for Mar. 8, and even more importantly if Neymar is forced out of that game with a long-term ankle injury.
