Kylian Mbappe became PSG top goalscorer in the French top-flight division after scoring his 139th goal against Lens on Saturday evening in Paris' 3-1 victory.

France captain and PSG forward Mbappe has scored a grand total of 139 goals in 169 appearances since he joined PSG back in the summer of 2017. His goal on Saturday put him one above Edinson Cavani's 138, thus making Mbappe the sole owner of the top-goalscorer record of the club in Ligue 1.

Mbappe trumped Cavani in the list, as the Uruguay international finished his run with PSG at 138 goals in 200 games in the league between 2013 and 2020.

Mbappe couldn't score a single goal in the past three games of PSG, but the last time he did (against Brest) he scored the 3,000th goal in PSG's history in the French top-flight division.

Counting in chunks of 500 goals, Mbappe hit the record books while joining Jean Claude Bras (first Ligue 1 goal for PSG), Michel N'Gom (500th), Zlatko Vujovic (1,000th), Nicolas Anelka (1,500th), Jeremy Menez (2,000th) and Edinson Cavani (the 2,500th).

Now, three months after the start of the 2023 calendar year and after reaching his second World Cup final having already won the 2018 edition, Kylian Mbappe itched his name in the history books of PSG for the nth time after becoming the man to hit the 3,000th Ligue 1 goal for the club.

Here's is hoping Kylian Mbappe keeps bagging goals docked in PSG threads going forward!
