Paris Saint-Germain's Oriane Jean-Francois sat for an interview with the PSG official website and spoke about everything during the 22/23 club season and the upcoming Women's World Cup.

Jean-Francois joined PSG last year in the summer of 2022 and has become a leading player in the Parisian squad. Fans have taken an immense liking to the French player and named her one of their favorite players of the season alongside Geyoro, Diani, Karchaoui, and De Almeida.

Oriane has a contract with PSG until the summer of 2024, giving her a whole new season to work towards with the hopes of winning her first trophy with the capital club.

Jean-Francois gave her thoughts on the club's season "We were a great team to watch; we played well no matter what. We managed to stay on course to the end and had the chance to play in two finals (Coupe De France and D1 Arkema final matchdays)."

Not only did Oriane speak about the team's season, but she also commented on her personal season, "A first season where I felt consistent and where I played many matches, I'm not happy with the ways turned out (not winning trophies) but I think in terms of performances and progress, it's been a positive season."

PSG and Jean-Francois had the pleasure of being in contention for two trophies all the way till the end of the season, one of which was the French Cup.

Jean-Francois mentioned the dramatic win against Bordeaux, which they had to go and qualify on penalties, and described it as "The highlight of the Coupe De France." Many PSG fans would agree with that.

Jean-Francois claimed that one of her most memorable matches was the Champions League group stage game against Real Madrid, where De Almeida and Diani scored to give PSG the 2-1 win.

The 21-year-old midfielder has been chosen as one of the 26 players included in the France preliminary squad for the 2023 Australia and New Zealand World Cup, alongside eight other Paris players.

"I'm preparing for this World Cup and hope to be there! I'm waiting for the definitive list; we'll see how it goes."

This would be Oriane's first-ever World Cup experience, and she said that "every sportsperson wants to play in a competition like this and to win it for their country."

Probably a very accurate way to describe what playing in a World Cup means to footballers who have the chance.
